School Performance Report

The Schools Assistance Act 2008 grants financial assistance for non-government primary and secondary education for 2009 to 2013/2014.

The Schools Assistance Regulations 2009, specify the performance and transparency requirements under the Schools Assistance Act 2008 for non-government schools.

The Regulations give effect to the data collection and reporting requirements in the National Education Agreement including the national assessments and performance measures set out in the Ministerial Council for Education, Early Childhood Development and Youth Affairs ( MCEECDYA) Measurement Framework for National Key Performance Measures. The Regulations specify:

  • national student assessments
  • national reports on the outcomes of schooling
  • individual school information
  • student reports to parents
  • publication of information by schools
  • supplementation of funding for recurrent, capital and targeted expenditure for the applicable program year
