Parents and Participation

When parents and grandparents are involved in the life of the school, we all benefit. The children love to see their families involved in their own school community and the parents bring their experiences and personalities to our activities.

There are many ways in which parents can assist the school in a voluntary capacity. These include:

  • Helping with class activities
  • Working with individual students in learning support programs
  • Accompanying teachers and students on excursions
  • Assisting with outdoor education
  • Tuckshop volunteer
  • Covering and/or mending books
  • Participation on committees and/or working parties
  • Involvement as a Class Parent Representative
  • Attendance and participation in liturgies
  • Maintenance of our gardens
  • Co-ordinating school uniform requirements
  • Assisting with Student Banking
  • Cooking

Working Bees

At times there may be a need to hold Working Bees for specific projects, in which case the support of parents will be requested. Some families who are unable to attend Working Bees provide a monetary donation to help the cost of maintaining our school facilities.

We are always eager to involve parents in the life of the school. Please let the staff know of any ideas you may have which will help the school build upon the positive relationship between home and school.
